"Learing Your Icons!"
Hello, My name is Miss Frieda and I am the teaching Fairy
M'Lady has asked that I come here to help you humans learn
Okay.. Lets get started..
First off you need to know what all the icons represent.
You should always make sure you have a colour chosen before you start to play around.
To start making a totally new image you need to click on the "new" icon.
This table will then appear.
Here you can define the size of the image and the background colour.
At this point it's good to make sure you have some good toolbars open.
(I put the stars there - don't go looking for them!!)
Now I suggest you play for a while with the tools - here are a few examples of the stuff
they do:-
The airbrush.
Floodfill. (Good for adding background colours later!).
Eraser.
While you're playing with that I will be making your next tutorial! LOL!
Before I send you the next tutorial I would like for you to make a picture for me using
as many of the tools you can.
So - you know where to find me.....
It can be as basic or as flouncy as you like.

here in the Realm. I am responsible for teaching all the
wee ones their fairy lessons..
how to do something that she is always being asked how to do
in her messages to you..
We will visit each of them
as we progress!
(I haven't even used them all - so this will be a learning process for us both!!)
These are the icons you should see across the top of your page.
(I usually go for
transparent and then add colours later.)
Click "OK" and your new blank canvas will appear.
If you right click on any of the side icons you will see this list of available toolbars
- I find it good to have the ones with the red stars open!
Ah-ha - but you don't get off that easily!!!!
If you then feel you need me to go over each tool in
detail let me know! OK!
As we haven't covered layers yet I realise there's not much you can do - but play around
and see what you can come up with! :o)
