"Making Tubes!"

Hello, it's me Miss Frieda, I guess now you are ready
to move along with the lessons.

For this lesson, M'Lady has choosen for you to make a
wee one.. (Pst.. don't let her looks decieve you, she is
a nice girl)..

OK -
We will do this using the image I have chosen for you to
make a wee one.!

This is Delicious Delilah!!

LOL!

The picture of her is included as an attachment in this lesson.
Please save her to you computer in what ever folder you have
your lessons in..

OK - now that you have her saved - open her up in PSP using your open icon.
Now, using the magic wand tool left click inside the green background.
The image will now have marching ants all over it.

Now click on the Selections button on the top bar, scroll down and click on Invert.

Now only Delilah will have the marching ants.
With your cursor placed over the blue bar on Delilah's image right click and then click on Copy on the popup window.

Now click on the New icon and adjust the sizes to 400 x 400 pixels, then click OK.

A new blank canvas will then appear.
Now place your cursor over the blue bar of the blank canvas and right click, then click on Paste as a new selection.

Delilah will now be attached to your cursor and you can place her in the middle of the blank canvas by left clicking on your mouse.
To lock her there and remove the ants right click once.
And there is Delilah - minus background.

BUT - as you can see - some of the background came with her beside her arm and in the loop of her handbag - because the ants couldn't get inside the image.
Now you need to remove it before we carry on.

So - click on your zoom tool and make sure the Toggle Tool Options Window is open. Place your cursor over the blue bar of the tool options window and adjust the zoom as large as you need it to easily see where to erase the green.

The image will now become large.
Now click on your Eraser icon and open its tool options window and adjust the size of the eraser accordingly.

Now you can use the eraser to remove the green bits.

You will need to adjust the size of the eraser a couple of times to get into the tiny bits.

Once you have finished go back to zoom and put the image back to its original 1/1 size.

Now she is ready to send to the Picture Tube file.
Click on File, Export and then Picture Tube.

(Yes - I know that's the faerie godmother in the background - but it's the same principal - I just used the same image!!)
LOL

Now type in Delilah's name.

You can now close out your other Delilah images - no need to save changes.

Now click on your Picture Tube icon , open the tool options window and find Delilah.
She is now ready to use.

Your next Tutorial will show you just how to use her! :o)

In the meantime I would like you to build up a small Picture Tube library of the things you will need to make a faerie!
Wings, sparkles, etc....OK!

Let me know if you have any problems!

**Please note that sometimes when making a tube from scratch the outlines are not dark enough for the ants to notice. You then end up getting a transparent image - if this happens - YELL and I will show you how to combat it! OK! :o)
